Skilled Worker applicants for Quebec must:

• Be able to find employment and settle in Québec
• Have the minimum of a high school diploma or a diploma of Vocational Studies
• Have work experience and skills that will allow their participation in the job market
• Having a working knowledge of French is an essential asset
• Knowledge of English is also an asset

The selection is based on the following factors:

• your work experience in the 5 years presceding the application
• your level of education and area of training
• your age
• your knowledge of French and English
• your family relationship with a Québec resident
• Your spouse's qualifications, if applicable

Other factors that will be taken into account when your application is assessed are:

• the number of children under the age of 22 who will be accompanying you to Québec
• your financial status
• your adaptability and the steps that you have undertaken to facilitate your socio-economic integration in Quebec
